DARAS: Direct Action Response Assessment Service (DARAS) is a Pro-Active security plan designed to provide vessel recovery specialists and Maritime Emergency Responders (Government Agencies) with the most complete, pre-operation, planning information available. DARAS provides:
- Insurance companies with assurance that operations for recovering vessels have a greater chance of succeeding with minimal collateral damage.
- Government emergency responders with invaluable information to be able to board a rogue or suspect vessel, control the vessel functions, and avert a maritime terror incident.
- Vessels, off-shore oil platforms (Go-Plats), and maritime assets coverage.
DARAS should be used for all new vessels and maritime assets and is extremely valuable for assets currently in service. DARAS collects information, documents information, and produces information packages that provide Direct Action Teams with climbing information, air insertion information, vital ship control center location information, and data to aid recovery teams to mitigate recovery challenges.
DARAS packages will be provided to both the Insurance Company, as well as U.S. Coast Guard E-MSST. The following is a general outline of DARAS:
